BUTTERWORTH: Barisan Nasional is not politicising Olympian Lee Chong Wei's silver medal feat to secure the Chinese support. The BN candidate for the seat Datuk Arif Shah Omar Shah said the opposition should not make such allegations. He said BN had merely facilitated Lee's return to Bukit Mertajam on Tuesday. "We brought him in a private jet so he wouldn't be stuck in a traffic jam and to ensure his safety," said Arif Shah, adding that since Lee was in town, they arranged for Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak to present him with the cheque during a function in Seberang Jaya.

Battle for Permatang Pauh: BN pulls out all stops to regain Chinese support.

THEY may not form the majority of Permatang Pauh voters, but their every vote is precious as it can tip the balance in this by-election.
Until yesterday, it was still widely believed that the Chinese support remained rooted to Parti Keadilan Rakyat.

Chinese voters had rejected Barisan Nasional in the March 8 general election, giving former member of parliament Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Ismail a 13,000-plus vote majority to retain her seat for the third term.

In the 2004 general election, Dr Wan Azizah won by a mere 590-vote majority.

The BN charge, led by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak is not perturbed by the fact that the coalition is the underdog.
Campaigners are pushing hard to make inroads in Chinese-concentrated areas, hoping hard that those who had turned away from BN would return into its fold.

The polling day is tomorrow already!! and BN has gone all out to capture that seat. Saying Anwar is an agent for the Chinese.. Im afraid the older Malay voters will fall for that and vote Arif Shah. And yae each mosque in P.Pauh was given RM1.4M by the government!!!

So sad to see BN using our tax money to bribe their way to victory, such a desperate attempt.

Anonymous said...

well, thats wat they do when their in power.. I wonder wat is Najib thinking? hmmm...

From Chedet.com
this I find makes alot of sense!!

1. I am amazed that there are still people in this country who think that the opposition parties "won" the general elections because they promised a more open society with transparency and whatnots, including of course doing away with the Internal Security Act.

2. Do they think that the swing; the mass desertion of the Malay villagers from UMNO, the Chinese from Chinese parties and the Indians from MIC in order to vote for the opposition parties, be they PAS or DAP or PKR (Parti Keadilan Rakyat), was due to their wish to see the abolition of the ISA or to seek for greater transparency, or desire for greater human rights, for free speech and open discussions at intellectual levels?

3. Are these the subjects that padi farmers, food stall holders and hawkers, the rubber tappers, the Class F contractors talk in the coffee shops at "intellectual" levels?

4. Do they care that our democracy is not as liberal as the western democracies? Do they care about detached intellectual discourse by intellectuals who want to display their intellect?

5. If they, the intellectuals think or believe that these kampong people, petty traders and hawkers voted for the opposition because of these ideals, because they have become very mature, because they want to see change, then think again. Go down to the very "unintellectual" level of these ordinary voters and try talking to them about your ideas.

6. You will find that their concerns are about their cost of living, the price of padi, jobs for them and their children, some of whom are graduates, their small businesses, the little development for their villages and urban slums, their dissatisfaction with their treatment by Government officers and their wakil rakyat not visiting them etc.

7. Whom do they blame? They blame UMNO and its leaders and the kowtow-ing leaders of MCA, Gerakan, MIC. In particular they blame the Prime Minister, Dato Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

Malaysian govt declares by-election defeat to Anwar

Malaysia's ruling coalition on Tuesday declared defeat in a by-election against opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim who is bidding to return to parliament after a decade-long absence.

"Yes of course we have lost... we were the underdogs going into this race," said Muhammad Muhammad Taib, information chief of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) which leads the Barisan Nasional coalition.

Anonymous said...

Out of curiousity, how many of you think Anwar is guilty of sodomy or don't care? Just say yes, no or don't care. Tak payah panjang cerita.

Anonymous said...

NO !!

Anonymous said...

no :P

Anonymous said...

dun care.. coz he wont be PM anyway

Anonymous said...

no way!!

Anonymous said...

nope!!

Anonymous said...

Does anyone know bout the background of Samy Vellu?

Anonymous said...

former MP for Sungai Siput... lost his seat to Jeyakumar from PKR in march 08.

Anonymous said...

Samy Velu started as a office boy in an architect firm. He cycles to work in Jalan Sentul. He was also a gangster. Chief.
He has a family in Penang. He has children too. But sad to say that his wife is a cucoo. His children has disowned him. They'r shy to say that he was their father.
Later he became active in politics
(definitely lah, as a gangster, he had a great line of followers; and he could put people at dagger point for votes ); and his affliation with Dato' Govindaraju who was then a MIC veteran, rose rank in file in MIC.
Dato Govindaraju had a keep called Indrani, he was "servicing" her. Later Samy Velu took over the mechanics job and "serviced" her. He enjoyed servicing her and made her his second wife. He has a boy and a girl with her.
Later he became Selangor MIC chairman and after Tan Sri Manika died he took over the MIC head post
till now. He said "...the army cannot move me..." but the people did in the March 8th elections.
What else you want to know?

Anonymous said...

samy vellu is bald and he wears a wig you forgot that xD

Anonymous said...

Samy Vellu does big poojas in temple. What a f***ing hypocrite. Must be thinking god is blind; can hear his prayers, but cannot see his actions. Lately god has become deaf to him as well!!

Anonymous said...

but now that he lost his 'safe seat', why is he still holding on to the Presidency post? for how long?

Anonymous said...

what is the rift between Subramaniam and Samy Velu about. After March 8, Samy wants to work with Subra again to build up MIC... ?

Anonymous said...

yea, god has become deaf to my fair samy!!

Anonymous said...

Subra was Manika's man, so Samy is worried that one day he will contest against him. It happened.
Samy doesn't want any Manika's man around too. Threatening. So get him out and put his own "yes" man, like Sothi, Devamani, Dr. Subra, Palanivel etc etc.
Got the picture?

Anonymous said...

Now Samy is the only old timer around am i rite.. wat can MIC possibly do to restore its image now that they lost almost all their MPs in parliament?

Anonymous said...

Get Samy out and replace him someone else. There many Indians who are great leaders and corporate
figures who can run multibillion organisations and still make money; we want someone like that to put back MIC in shape. Or else the Indians can keep f...ing rubber trees. We do not want people like him around. Go home and look for your birth certificate; surely you will only find the true copy of it in colour. Because the ori is in the pawn shop. You like that.

Anonymous said...

Samy sold everything la. His Party, his pride and his race!!

Anonymous said...

Now Anwar still says he can topple government by 16th september..
I dunno how he can persuade 30 MPs to crossover.. by threat?

Anonymous said...

Samy has lots of property in India and Australia.
The Australian propery is intact but the ones in India .....poooosh.

The property in India was managed by an actor called JaiSangkar. Two years ago he died. The property was under his name. His siblings, brothers and sisters; changed the deed intotheir names on the death bed.

When Samy went to India to claim his property, he was shocked that he was swindled. He deserves it.

About 4 to 5 years ago one of his diehard friends, an MIC strongman died. This was the guy who brings Samy to India seeking supernatural powers. Now he has no supernatural powers, so lost all powers; one of the reasons why he lost the elections.

Do you know your Indian leader? The type of leader you adore and shower your support? Indians you want to prosper take my advice.

Don't vote for Samy Velu. Get him down.

Anonymous said...

Wow. you really know so much about Samy. haha.. great info!!
they say that Sg. Siput has the nicest roads, is that true?
just wondering. lol

Anonymous said...

Aiyo BN lousy lah so many corruption and racist now Mahatir wanna join umno cause he scared anwar take over goverment

Anonymous said...

You mean Dr.M wanna prevent Anwar frm taking over government? Not very likely Dr.M can do much.
He'll support Tengku Razaleigh for UMNO presidency and Muhidyin for No.2..

Anonymous said...

they'll only make UMNO split!!

Anonymous said...

if anwar takes over, all Dr. M 's skeletons will pop up from the closet

Anonymous said...

I think the old man himself might even go to jail!!
Along with his cronies..ahaha

Anonymous said...

Dr.M retired and was made a Tun.
Ling Leong Sik retired made a Tun.
How about my Datuk Samy?

Anonymous said...

Hai, I'm back again after a long absence. " ....my Samy Velu.."; WOW!!!! He doesn't deserve the word "..my..".

That thug deserves a "..tong..". If he knows that I was the one penning these lines, he'll kill me. I'll be dead by a hit-and-run
lorry, car or train.

Many MIC men had died in the same manner but nothing was exposed to the public.

Anonymous said...

really? wow I din know that. shit!!
haha so dont ever put your name here..
I think Umno people are less ganas am i rite?

Anonymous said...

of cause umno people are less ganas, all they do is bribe their way to fortune,i am not surprise if pm is one of them

Anonymous said...

but PM is lembik as they call it.
yea its Umno's way of doin things i guess.. they make thair money by : 30% here, 30% there... haha
I wonder hows it with MCA?

Anonymous said...

Does anyone know how many MPs did MIC
use to have and how many now?

Anonymous said...

I'm back after a long absence.

Don't bother how many MPs were there or how many PIGS were there or how many BITCHES were there; what is important is none of the bastards delivered to the Indian community.

So they used MIC as a front to line their pockets. Joe Samy hoodwinked the Indians.

Go and change the world; stop listening to this rubbish; and I think you've heard enough of MIC. Change your immediate family; let them see the light and walk away from Joe. Now, when you donate to MIC means you donate to Joe. As long as he's going to be there, just stay away. Ok.
