Open Letter to De Facto Head Prefect of LSPJ.

Khairul,

I know a number of students who shrugged their shoulders to you when you ran in the Head Prefect Elections. They somewhat despised you for you had only joined us in form4. Here in La Salle PJ, we believe in having the best man for the job. And most certainly, you're the one!
Although being sidelined, you now have not much of a choice but to accept the humble position as the so called "Second in command" Not because you don't deserve the No.1 post but we have to be realistic. We're in Malaysia my friend.

Be that as it may, the Form One students had began to experience the life of being a Lasallian and, a handful of them will inevitably be selected into probation as a prefect. Previously, the prefects were once known as ''White Dogs" then later known as "Pulen's Puppets". Well at least a dog barks.. but a puppet is nothing more than a dummy.. don't you think so?
It's like wadafuck??

Bottom line, Take in prefects with minds of their own. We should be all-rounders; having the gung-ho ones, the smart ones and the smart-alec ones too. But in line with our agenda of course!

Before this turns into a scripture, here I wish you the best in administering the Prefect Body because all these are beyond my power.. I'm merely a blogger.

May I wish you a great leadership.
Yours Sincerely,
Lasallepjdude

There's absolutely nothing wrong with being 2nd in command. In 1994-1995 Yunus S. Hussein was 2nd in command and he did a superb job. One might even argue that he did all the "dirty work"... which is oftentimes the IMPORTANT work.

We had an excellent figurehead number 1 that year... he was clean cut, well spoken and represented our school well but as far as I am concerned... Yunus is the one who really made the difference in keeping everyone in order. This meant whipping the prefects into shape also.

One must learn to accept certain facts in life. If this kid khairul can accept it, no problem at all. It's not always about the cert.
After all, you're already so high up in that sense.
Like the 3rd comment said, as long as the work gets done.. the IMPORTANT ones!!

We can't just compare the current prefects and the previous ones.

Previous prefects have been VERY VERY strict which is a good thing.
At this point, students are still afraid of prefects.

Current prefects? They're not even strict and they only do things ONLY when asked to.

But now, prefects have lost all respect they could've ever get from students. None of the students obey prefects anymore and there are some who even dare to fight back with prefects. Without teacher backing them up, they're practically just like normal students with an extra nametag.

Just my 2cents. I'm sorry if i offended anyone.

Its very true Dhaya is it?
Nowadays, prefects want to be prefects just to get perks from teachers.. not much anyway. haha

In our days, we were like the rolling stones!!

Remember one of the very early Presidentsof the OBA. I believe he was unpopular as well. First he was not a true La Sallian, having migrated from Methodist Primary School to La Salle in Form 1. Secondly, by his very selfish nature, he only opened membership of the OBA to his religious and ideological cronies and close friends. The result, a ruined OBA with no support from the public and other ex-students.
And you know what, he still goes round town behaving as if the sun SHONE OUT HIS ASS! Screw 'em dead I'd say.

woww!! thats too much. But i believe those days are gone.
Good times will be here to stay!

If you think this year is worse, wait till the next! Look at all the potential candidates in Form 4 this year! All of them are so worried about their cronies that I am sure the middle of this year will go down the drain! Unless, a form 6th student or a good headmaster can compensate!

Let's have an online poll of opinion by this June on who should be the next head prefect. That way, we won't have people just running for the presidency just because of fulling the racial quota . 1 for each.

Don't forget to place a big, bold title saying PLEASE, OUT OF YOUR OWN SINCERITY, VOTE ONLY ONCE!

this is juz sad........ the prefects are becoming more and more useless by the sec...... if they juz stood up and did what they did laz time it would be much better......... not only did the prefects lost the respect from students, they don't want to gain it back.........they are practically invisible.... look at them, do u think that ANYONE would follow what they said? come on, everyone is opposing the prefects...... and about the head prefect case........ if they ain't any good form 6's....... the school will be a mess and havoc will take over the school..... no more discipline........ and personally, i think that the teachers themselves are to blame as well........ come on, what the hell? the teachers don't want the prefects to show their power? stand there and do nothing? talk to the students nicely? prefects are there to control the discipline of the school, make sure the school moves smoothly!! not be the teachers' pets, students' waiters/waitresses..... i seriously don't believe in the proverb about using cold water to drowse a raging fire..... the only way to fight fire, is by fire.....

Since most of the current form4 prefects are hopeless cases, All we can do is wait for form6 to enter in May. I really have no idea which of the form5 from last year will join us. But It doesnt really matter whether He is a "Pure Lasallian" or not.. as long as he can do the job.. So be it if it's some dude from Puchong or Taman Desa or wateva.

Talking about OBA ex president I think we know who it is. I think it is the same person trying to supply cheap sports equipment to the school using his old boy connections. Typical like government in Malaysia.

That bad arr? How was he voted as president in the first place? gee.. i didnt know that.
